Grey Mole Charlie


Hook: Stainless steel, #6 or 8.
Thread: Grey.
Tail: Very short tuft of silver Krystal Flash.
Body: First build an underbody with grey wool; varnish and cover with grey chenille while still tacky. Aim for a spherical shape. Thick tow wool may also be spun onto the shank as an alternative method. Pale slate is the correct colour.
Shoulder: One turn of fluorescent orange wool.
Wing: Underwing of a few strands of silver Krystal Flash, with grey calftail over. Length slightly more than the hook.
Eyes: Silver-plated lead dumbbells painted black at the ends.
